Kite Project

A long beautiful day at Brighton Beach with new kite string and winder. First we send up the 2 kite.
Then we try a snake, which is very stable, but does not rise so well. It kind of dances in the wind which is pleasant.
Then we try a 6 kite 3 parallel 2 kites. It rises well and the pull is amazing. A couple more bags and it could lift you off the ground.
The path to a successful kite
The first day Miwa wanted to fly a bag whole. No structure, no cutting, just a bag caught by the wind... It didn't work so well.
Miwa tries again. Single bag, cross in the opening, string to the intersection of the cross.
Marco tries a more complicated kite, but fails also. The kite will not rise.
Marco changes how the string is attached to the kite, fixing it in two places, which forces the kite to an angle in the wind, and it flies!
Miwa flies the 2 kite
Flush with success we find that even with a working kite, the wind needs to be on our side.
Brighton Beach has very strong and steady wind. The 2 kite reaches its potential.
